Sir Cody your action reporter - A live action story on April 13th.
Before being a jumping pony, I was a Navy Seal and action
reporter. Due to tiring of swimming under water I returned
to the Ranch to jump poles and other things more horsey.
It took 3 grownup to
hold my little brother Dusty, our mighty stallion for the sedation.
If we had sound you could hear Mom starting to worry with "Be
careful" "Should I help?" We all just ignored
her.
Sabyl took care of Dusty. Mom started screaming he's dead, when Uncle Greg put the blue towel on Dusty's
face - I explained it was for eye protection. Then I suggested we sedate
Mom.
With
a mighty rope Aunt Sabyl held his leg - That was quite a big
rope! I am pleased to report Mom was covering her eyes
and therefore Dr. Greg didn't need to sedate her. I thought it best
to stop taking pictures for a few minutes and keep Mom calm.
All
done - Mom can now uncover her eyes.
Come on little guy wake up! Dusty wanted to sleep on our Aunt
Sabyl
Poor
Aunt Sabyl had to keep waking Dusty up and then kind of picked him up
to stand. Mom was now helping with directions - "He's going to
fall"
Now
three grown ups had to help balance him! Small but quite wobbly!
Mom continued to help with directions just incase they forgot
" HE'S Wobbly!"
all three helping our wobbly boy walk to the
stall. Mom was sterilizing the stall and worrying
- Mom does worrying really well. They figured to keep Mom
busy sterilizing a stall, while they do the work.
I
did ask our Aunt Heidi if our Uncle Greg included in the marriage vows
that she
has to help with things like this? She said she thought the vow was
odd, "When Cody Calls We Go To A Ranch." But she agreed.
And
I guess they are still friends. Since Uncle Greg was here I told
him that I had a sore ears. Uncle Greg told me it was from trying to listen to other people's
conversations. I quickly bought a book on lip reading to
protect my ears.
